⚡ How many subscribers are you losing every month?

Here's what's happening in this edition: → How many subscribers are you losing? (And the fix) Before we dive in, let me paint an important, timely picture for you. It's the middle of summer. Your garden needs watering. Badly. But your water source is 100ft away from your garden and you don't have a hose. All you have is a watering can. But it's old, cracked, full of holes. Your garden is drying up. You've got not choice. So you fill up the watering can and run as quickly as possible to your garden 100ft away. By the time you get there, you have just enough water to give your garden a light splash. Obviously not enough water. You need to go back and do it again. And again. And again. Here's what I'm getting at. The garden is your email list. The watering can is your subscriber onboarding flow. The water source is your audience (social, web traffic, YT viewers etc.) The point of this analogy is super simple. No matter how hard you try to grow your list, if you've got holes in your onboarding, you're losing out on more subscribers — and potential revenue — than you need to be. What do I mean by "onboarding"? Think about your landing page. Most of us set these and forget them (when was the last time you reviewed your welcome email)... It's a problem. Chenell built a 90-second quiz that shows you how many subscribers you could be losing — and what it's costing you. Take the 90-second Quiz →

Resource Of The Week ⚡Kit Creator Pro Plan*(This is not a sponsored post lol.) Kit has been absolutely crushing it with their recent product launches. In June, they announced a bunch of wildly awesome updates. → Subscriber Signals (data enrichment) And I just noticed another new feature they didn't make a big announcement about — but is super useful. #1: Engagement Analytics This is cool cuz now I can compare how well any tag or segment of subscribers is engaging with my newsletter so I can double down on the ones that perform best. And figure out the ones that need my attention. Am I bullish on Kit? Yes. Their product keeps getting better but NOT more complicated. It's the ESP I always recommend. (And yes I've used beehiiv, Substack, Mailchimp, and others -- meh). I've been a user since 2021 and haven't looked back. And their Creator Pro Plan has all these features built in. THE GROWTH STRATEGY BEHIND A 36,000 NEWSLETTER DOING $100K+I love this story because there's something here for everyone. Whether you run a "free" or "paid" newsletter. Here's what happened... Esteban runs ADHD Weasel. He and his cofounder were doing all the right things: publishing Insanely Valuable Content™️, posting often on social, linking to their newsletter sign-up everywhere. But they were only getting ~17 new subscribers per day. Not awful, but not enough to sustain their business. The Talk That Changed EverythingIn February, they were in Austin TX at the New Media Summit. And they heard Chenell talk about newsletter growth — with quizzes. Our own GIR Pro member, Charlie Dice, was pushing thousands of TikTok impressions to her quiz. So was Milly Tamati of Generalist World. So when Esteban got home from the summit, he got to work, and within a week, he had a live quiz and pointed all his social posts to the link. And you'll never guess... It worked! They went from 17 new subs per day to over 100 -- all thanks to the quiz. And he broke down how he did it all, including his Meta ads strategy and how he posts over 110 posts per week on Threads. TWO FINAL THINGS1) We broke down Esteban's Threads strategy in The 36k Subscriber Content Machine right here → 2) Esteban shares his whole story, his wild posting schedule and the quiz that 7x'd their growth. Check it out below. |
