Quick one today. But really interesting.
I saw this on a newsletter thank-you page and thought it was SUPER smart.
Why?
Because when you run a standard newsletter ad insertion, only your current subscribers will see it. But what about all the new subscribers you're getting throughout the week?
They just signed up and didn't see it.
Missed opportunity, right?
Not if you do what Alex Garcia did with Marketing Examined's Thank-you page.
Check it out.
Here's how you can make sure every NEW subscriber sees your sponsor's ad. Alex Garcia runs the Marketing Examined newsletter. He partnered with a sponsor named Particl (I've seen their ads in his newsletter for weeks).
Pretty standard brand sponsorship. Nothing crazy, right? Well, I just noticed Alex includes a "sick GIVEAWAY" on his Thank-you page post signup.
How do you enter the giveaway?
By signing up for a 14-day free trial of his sponsor, Particl.
So Alex has optimized his Thank-you page to include sponsors.
And here's the best part:
Five giveaway winners receive their competitors' top-performing funnels, as analyzed by Alex Garcia, using*... 🥁 drumroll please 🥁 Particl. Brilliant. This ad campaign is FULL CIRCLE. This is how you execute a successful brand partnership. TL;DR... 1. new subscribers exposed to "sick GIVEAWAY" on thank-you page (not just the newsletter) 2. sign-up for Particl's free trial (mission accomplished) 3. 5 winners get to see an expert use Particl to its full potential (and are more likely to purchase)
But of course, there are a few caveats here.
Caveat #1: I have no idea how well this worked or is working, I just thought it was super smart and haven't seen anyone else do anything quite like it. Caveat #2: I realize not every sponsor lends itself to this kind of full-circle campaign. But bringing outside-the-box ideas like this when pitching sponsors is sure to get you WAY more replies. =============== *I can only assume Alex's team will use Particl to do the competitor funnel analysis since that's exactly what Particl does.
